first_img Twitter Michigan City shooting suspect arrested in Indianapolis (“Cuffs4” by banspy, Attribution 2.0 Generic) A man who shot and killed another man at a Michigan City apartment complex has been arrested in Indianapolis.Darius Mitchell, 27, was killed back in August near Garden Estates West apartment complex.Michigan City police were called to the complex around 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 11 on reports of shots fired.When police got there, they found a crowd of people standing around Mitchell, who was lying on the ground motionless with a bullet wound in his body. Police tried to save his life, but he died at the scene.Last week, Demario Williams-Anderson, 19, a suspect in the case, was arrested near IUPUI in Indianapolis.Williams-Anderson was found after police received a tip that he had run away to Indianapolis after shooting Mitchell.Williams-Anderson is now in the LaPorte County Jail.
