first_imgThe draw for the Donegal SFC will take place after Donegal’s clash with Cork at Fr. Tierney Park on Sunday evening.Donegal host Cork in a crucial Allianz National League encounter in Ballyshannon.However, immediately after the Donegal match all attentions will turn to club football as the draw for the Donegal Junior, Intermediate and Senior championships will take place. A group format will remain in place for the Donegal SFC for a third year running since the restructuring of the club championships in 2013.The overwhelmingly belief in the county is that the structure is a success, but the issue over when games will be played could be a divisive issue again this year.Donegal executives faced scathing criticism form Croke Park chiefs after the Donegal SFC was ran off in just six weeks following the All-Ireland Final.It is believed a similar scenario is unlikely and championships games will be played during the summer, although it could all depend again on the success of the Donegal Senior squad.
