Renegades, who were playing their first final ever, won their maiden Big Bash League title.Renegades were in the deep waters for most part of the match but they stormed right back in the last 9 overs of the match and took the game away from the Stars to take home the trophy.Renegades’ Daniel Christian was rightly adjudged the man-of-the-match for his all-round show. Christian struck a match-winning 38 not out and picked up two wickets as Melbourne Stars lost 7 wickets for just 19 runs in a dramatic collapse.Christian was also involved in an unbroken 80-run stand for the sixth wicket with Tom Cooper (43 not out) after Renegades were reduced to 65 for 5 in 10.2 overs.This was the second time Melbourne Stars ended up as the runners-up in the tournament history.
