Decomposed body of aged man found inside Garfa house
Kolkata: Tension spread at Pratapgarh area in Garfa after a decomposed body of an aged person was found inside a house on Mahalaya.The neighbours identified the deceased as Nantu Pal, alias Santu (52). No foul play could be detected as till the last report came in. According to locals, Pal’s wife and their only son left the home a few days ago over some family disputes. The neighbours often used to hear sounds of altercations from Pal’s house. A few days ago, the situation got heated up that made his wife and son leave the house. As Pal was depressed after his wife and son left, the neighbours did not doubt anything. On Monday morning, some of the locals found foul smell coming out from Pal’s house. They went to his house and found the door locked from inside. Some of them called Pal but there was no response. Immediately, Garfa Police Station was informed. A team from Garfa Police Station went there and broke the main door to gain access inside the house. As police entered the house, they found Pal’s body lying on the floor. According to an assumption by the police, Pal might have died at least 4 days ago. The body was immediately recovered and sent for an autopsy. A case over Pal’s unnatural death has been initiated. No foul play could be suspected.
