Patrick Imbardelli announced last night.“As we’ve refreshed the Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL brand, we’ve looked for where opportunities are available to us,” Mr Imbardelli said.“We are delighted to be able to introduce the Pan Pacific hallmark of personalised service even as we reconnect the PARKROYAL brand with consumers, guests, and all of our stakeholders in this market.”“This marks the growth of the hotel group’s portfolio,” Chan Hse May Pan Pacific Hotels Group told e-Travel Blackboard.The Singapore-listed company manages over 30 hotels, resorts and services suites across Asia and North America and will soon make moves to extend its footprint.Eric Levy Senior Vice President, Growth and Development for the hotel group told e-Travel Blackboard of plans to open 7 hotels in 2010 globally.“The pipeline is well-developed,” he said.Founded in Melbourne in 1962, the PARKROYAL brand will open PARKROYAL Darling Harbour in Sydney and PARKROYAL Parramatta in November 2010.With a new logo and an international focus, “the PARKROYAL is not the same brand it was eight years ago,” Imbardelli, one time Regional General Manager of PARKROYAL in New Zealand told industry colleagues.“The PARKROYAL is a brand that behaves regionally but acts locally.”Meanwhile, the Pan Pacific Perth, currently undergoing refurbishment, will open in January 2011.
